Apple v Google
Both are #1 and/or #2 in their primary & blended markets. One company excels as a search engine, the other excels in beautiful hardware, and they compete head-on in the operating system, tablet and smartphone markets. Admittedly, one has three times the market share and market capitalization as the other.
Google has nowdenied Apple licensed access to maps & YouTube. Google has more than several thousand map programmers. Apple has several hundred along with a Yelp license. I’ve never yelped or four squared. Word on the street is that Apple is openly recruiting Google Map programmers.
This is similar to the dormant competition between Apple & Adobe over Adobe Flash v Apple QuickTime.
Let the marketplace forces prevail.
Me? I’ll take another bite of the original sin.
