HR Blog Quest 365.9
This is one blog entry you have to watch! FoT is well known for being on the cutting edge of content and context with their team of bloggers. This one blog entry takes the world of HR Blogging to beyond the next level.
FoT has been around for over two years. From their archives, the first post is dated Monday, November 26, 2007 and is titled What’s Retention of Key Talent Worth? Hewitt Weighs in with “TQ”…
To their most recent post about regulating the funkiness of HR Speak. Let’s see if I can come up with my own top ten of things we shouldn’t be saying out loud.
1. Low hanging fruit
2. Silver bullet
3. Thank you to thank you – everyone needs to stop this madness with a Your Welcome.
4. Have a nice day – tone with body language makes this one multi-purpose
5. You know what I mean. Really? How so?
6. Some would say This really means what I say only I don’t want to be held accountable for speaking a logically flawed truth.
7. It is what it is. We’ve always done it this way, been this way, and that’s all that needs to be said.
8. We regret the error. Being too lazy to get it right or better the first time.
9. That never happened before
10. That’s not my call to make.
Not all necessarily HR speak, but extracts from my 2008 collections of things better left unsaid.
